Here's a cake inspired by a series of children's books called "Pinkalicious". The character is my kind of gal,.... loves the color pink,..... and loves cupcakes! The fondant work on this one was very time consuming, but necessary for the overall effect. From the multi-colored individual strands of hair, to the paint brush and pallet, each detail really brought it all to life. I incorporated the birthday girl's name in a cute way by making an easel out of skewers, and using food coloring to hand paint a sign on a fondant "canvas". With a little shimmer here, and some sparkles over there,.... I think this pretty Pinkalicious presentation is perfect for a party,... pass the plates! Happy Birthday Sophie!
