I love butterflies and was excited to use them as inspiration for these cupcakes. Each butterfly is handmade out of fondant with individually placed silver dragees, and then lightly brushed with shiny luster dust to really make them stand out. The butterflies sit atop their own flower made of icing. Lastly, I sprinkled a little edible sparkle to give the illusion of sun reflecting off dew on the petals. These were made for a cute little girls special day. Happy Birthday!
